The second classification included in the diabetes medications list is insulin. Insulin has five classes under it: Rapid acting insulin such as Aspart and Lispro, short acting insulin like Novolin R and Humolin R, intermediate acting insulin such as Novolin N and Humolin N, long acting insulin like Glargine, and lastly premixed insulin. The third type of medication for diabetes included the other diabetes medications that are injectable.
